GAYS AGAINST GUNS, the new documentary by filmmaker Paul Rowley follows GAG's journey over ten years, from the Pulse massacre to now. The film documents (and celebrates!) GAG’s unique blend of fierce determination, creative in-your-face tactics, and unapologetic queerness in the fight against gun violence. The film interweaves intimate portraits of activists with heart-wrenching stories from those directly impacted by gun violence. From disruptive protests and haunting Human Beings demonstrations to confronting the gun lobby and the NRA puppets head-on in the corridors of power, the film illustrates how GAG has become a dynamic force in the gun violence prevention movement. Taking place in a time of huge social upheaval in America - the Women’s March, Black Lives Matter, the Capitol riots, and an escalation in hate crime fuelled by anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric and legislation the film asks -  can “the gays” really take on the might of the American gun lobby? Well, they are certainly going to try.
